Role Overview

Aeiforia Tech Hub Enterprise is seeking a dynamic Tech Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern to join our Research & Development Team and Department. This role is designed for an individual passionate about using data and technology to drive impact. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data collection, quality assurance, and reporting processes. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to make a tangible difference through data-driven evaluation, contributing to sustainable, real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Analysis

Develop and implement digital data collection methods, including surveys, tracking systems, and structured interviews.

Gather, clean, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness and reach of Aeiforia’s health, finance, and cultural initiatives.

Monitoring Systems Development

Support the creation and maintenance of monitoring databases and dashboards that allow real-time tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Use tools like Excel, Power BI, and Google Data Studio to produce visually engaging reports that communicate project performance.

Reporting and Documentation

Assist in preparing M&E reports, highlighting insights and data trends that reflect project impact and progress.

Document project milestones, track objectives, and maintain organized records to support Aeiforia’s data-driven impact assessments.

Quality Control

Conduct data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of project data.

Identify and troubleshoot data issues, recommending improvements to enhance data integrity.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with project managers, tech teams, and other departments to align on data collection needs and integrate insights into project planning.

Communicate findings to stakeholders, translating data insights into actionable recommendations.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Technical Proficiency

Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel, SPSS, or R and familiar with visualisation software such as Power BI or Tableau.

Understanding of M&E frameworks and experience with digital data collection tools, such as KoboToolbox or Google Forms.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities

Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail in interpreting data, identifying trends, and making recommendations.

Ability to think critically and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.

Communication and Documentation Skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings to diverse audiences.

Ability to present complex data insights in a clear, accessible manner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Organizational Skills

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Strong organizational skills for maintaining systematic records and tracking project data.

Qualifications

Pursuing or holding a degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience or coursework in monitoring and evaluation, data management, or project management is a plus.

Experience with data collection and analysis, whether through internships, academic projects, or prior work, is beneficial.
