Pharmacist Addax Pharmacy

Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Retail Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, dispensing medications, counseling patients, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the pharmacist will supervise a Pharmacy Technologist and a Sales Officer, ensuring smooth and efficient pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the pharmacy and supervise the Pharmacy Technologist and a Sales Officer, ensuring smooth and efficient pharmacy operations.
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations.
• Provide medication counselling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure all stock orders are prepared on time and with proper authorization and new stock orders are checked on arrival.
• Prepare monthly pharmacy work plans, performance reports and procurement budget
• Work with Addax pharmacy partners to improve community health
• Engage with clients and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
• Have a valid practicing license.
• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed.
