HSEQ Manager Cochrane Trucking LTD

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Maintain and regularly review all related documentation in line with legal requirements.
  • Ensure accurate health and safety and training records are filed and updated.
  • Establish a full health & safety inspections, audits and checks and ensure they are fully documented
  • Provide regular reports to the Human Resources Manager and the Managing Director on relevant health and safety activities.
  • Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
  • Ensure that all near misses and accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Conduct weekly HSEQ talks and meetings
  • Workplace inspection
  • Initiating training programs and budgets
  • Implement and coordinate HSEQ policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and efficiently managing time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience SQSA or similar HSEQ systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Grade 12 school certificate
  • Holder of a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a HSEQ Officer preferably in a transport industry with line management experience.
