2. JOB PURPOSE
As a Rapid Response Commander, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating emergency response operations. Your role is pivotal in ensuring swift and effective responses to security incidents, maintaining operational readiness, and managing a team of security personnel. You will work closely with other departments and external agencies to provide a high level of security and crisis management.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate rapid response teams during security incidents, emergencies, and critical situations.
- Assess the nature and severity of incidents to determine appropriate response strategies.
- Develop and implement tactical plans to address immediate threats and secure affected areas.
- Supervise and support a team of security officers and responders, ensuring they are trained, equipped, and ready for emergency situations.
- Conduct regular drills and training exercises to maintain team preparedness and effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to team members during high-pressure situations.
- Oversee the accurate and timely documentation of incident reports, including detailed accounts of events, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Review and analyze incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external agencies during incidents and provide necessary information and support.
- Ensure that all response equipment, vehicles, and communication systems are maintained and fully operational.
- Conduct regular assessments of response procedures and make improvements based on best practices and lessons learned.
- Develop and refine emergency response plans and protocols to enhance the company’s security posture.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the development of preventive measures and strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on incidents and response activities.
- Address client concerns and ensure their safety needs are met during and after incidents.

5. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum
- Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better in Mathematics and English
- Certificate in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or a related field.
6. EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations, emergency management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or command role.
7. ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS

- Proficiency in security technology and management software.
- Understanding of industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple responsibilities, and manage a diverse team.
