Office Assistant for the Lung Cancer Control Program (LCCP)
Access to Health Zambia (A2HealthZ), formerly Catholic Medical Mission Board Zambia (CMMB Zambia), is a faith-based, local organisation whose mission is to provide long-term, cooperative medical and development aid to communities affected by poverty and healthcare issues. Access to Health Zambia is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals with relevant experience for the following position aimed at contributing to the strategic vision of the Lung Cancer Control Program (LCCP).
The LCCP is dedicated to addressing the growing burden of lung cancer in Zambia, particularly focusing on high-risk factors such as smoking and exposure to carcinogens like asbestos and silica. The project aims to establish strong cancer surveillance systems, community-led lung health screening, and partnerships with Ministries of Health to improve early diagnosis and treatment outcomes.
Job Title: Office Assistant
Location: Kabwe, Zambia
Reporting To: Project Coordinator
Contract Duration: 15 months (with potential extension based on phase II)
Job Overview
The Office Assistant will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the project offices as well as performing basic administrative tasks.
Key Duties: –
- Provide efficient cleaning services to the offices.
- Assist with the collection and distribution of mail.
- Maintaining and issuing of stationery and other office consumables
- Taking charge of serving meals/tea during meetings and other functions.
- Receive, issue and stock take items in the storeroom.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a G12 Certificate
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum three (3) years work experience in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of administrative tasks
- Must be computer literate and able to operate office machines including telephone, scanners, photocopier, etc.

- Must be able to work in a cross-cultural environment.
- Courteous and good interpersonal skills
- High levels of confidentiality
