Malinzi Credit Limited, a growing financial services provider in Zambia, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Loan and Credit Officer to join our dynamic team.
Position: Loan and Credit Officer
Location: Lusaka
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
– Evaluate loan applications and conduct thorough credit assessments
– Interview loan applicants to determine creditworthiness and financial capacity
– Analyze financial statements, bank statements, and other relevant documents
– Prepare and process loan documentation in compliance with company policies
– Monitor loan repayments and maintain updated client records
– Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure timely loan repayments
– Identify and report potential credit risks
– Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities
– Prepare periodic reports on loan portfolio performance
– Responsible for debt recoveries
Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or related field
– Minimum of 1 year experience in credit analysis or loan processing
– Strong knowledge of credit assessment techniques and risk management
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
– Strong reporting skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
– Knowledge of loan management systems
– Valid driver’s license is an advantage
