To order stock, display and rotate it. Stock to be arranged in a visually pleasing position to attract customers’ attention.
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the main tasks that you will be required to perform in your role as Merchandiser –
i. You are responsible for your own safety and to prevent accidents.
ii. Deliver excellent customer service always.
iii. Ensure that the storeroom and shelves are clean and stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
iv. Display, arrange and put correct price tags on the products.
v. Maintain store shelves by removing expired and/or damaged goods.
vi. Make recommendations for products that are selling and those that are slow moving.
vii. Work and communicate with Store Manager.
viii. Manage stock by applying FIRST IN, FIRST OUT (FIFO) principles.
ix. Receive stock, check pack sizes, expiry dates, quantities and put received date stamps on all documents for all goods received.
x. Have knowledge of stock in the Store.
xi. Conduct stock takes as and when required.
xii. Ensure safety of stock in the Store and storeroom is maintained at all times.
xiii. Carry out any other duties that may be delegated by Management from time to time.
