We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our entire group. Position Title: Group General Manager
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Location: Lusaka
Key Responsibilities:
- Group Strategy Execution: Lead the implementation of company-wide strategies across all business units and subsidiaries. Ensure alignment between the group’s long-term vision and day-to-day operations.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee operations across all divisions, ensuring that each unit executes plans efficiently. Work closely with division heads to maintain high performance and operational consistency.
- Leadership of Senior Teams: Manage and guide the executive teams of all subsidiaries. Execute leadership strategies to develop talent, improve performance and maintain strong communication between departments.
Financial Stewardship: Implement and oversee financial controls across the group. Ensure profitability, cost-efficiency and sustainable growth by aligning financial strategies with business objectives. - Change Management: Lead and manage large-scale changes across the group. Facilitate smooth transitions during restructuring or new initiative rollouts, ensuring teams execute change effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication: Implement strategies for communicating with external and internal stakeholders. Ensure transparent reporting on group performance and business results.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure that KPIs for all group operations are met, driving results across all departments.
- Corporate Governance: Ensure that each subsidiary and department operates in compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior management roles, with significant experience overseeing multiple business units or subsidiaries.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing group-wide strategies and driving organizational execution.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and leading across multiple levels of an organization.
- Expertise in financial management, project implementation and performance monitoring.
