Relationship Manager Sevington 30Thirty

The Relationship Manager provides clients with financial solutions while building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are met efficiently while remaining compliant. This role involves assessing financial needs, offering guidance, and addressing concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction. As an ambassador of the company, the Relationship Manager upholds its brand and reputation while balancing client needs with business objectives. Demonstrating integrity, loyalty, and honesty, the RM fosters trust and ethical conduct, ensuring long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Client and Stakeholder Relations

The Relationship Manager actively seeks new clients that meet credit approval criteria while managing client relationships to ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations. They identify new business opportunities, educate clients on products, and develop retention strategies to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Acting as a key point of contact between clients, suppliers, end users, and service providers, they also ensure timely resolution of customer queries.

Sales and Marketing

This role involves achieving sales targets, developing a strong transaction pipeline, and preparing proposals and presentations to attract new business. The Relationship Manager assists in organizing client engagement events, promotes company products, and stays informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities.

Transaction Management

The Relationship Manager oversees transactions throughout the transaction cycle, ensuring compliance with KYC/AML, collateral perfection, and other regulatory requirements. They facilitate proper client onboarding, prepare investment cases for credit committee approval, monitor transactions from disbursement to repayment, and collaborate with the team for seamless execution.

Product Development

By conducting ongoing research, the Relationship Manager gathers insights into customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity, providing

valuable feedback to enhance product offerings and align with client expectations.

Reporting

The role includes regular reporting on sales, transaction pipelines, portfolio performance, client satisfaction, and complaints. The Relationship Manager is also responsible for meeting performance targets as outlined in key performance indicators (KPIs).

Skills and Competences

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to all stakeholders both orally and written.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent report writing (Investment Cases Letters, Presentations)
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Analytical Skills
  • Understanding of accounting and finance method relevant to NBFIs.
  • Problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of the SME financing industry in Zambia
  • 3 years’ work experience in Zambian finance, banking.

Qualifications and education requirements

  • University Degree in relevant fields (Finance, Banking, Economics or Business Administration)
