Procurement and Supplies Officer Zambia Qualifications Authority

The Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Education established under the repealed Zambia Qualifications Authority Act No. 13 of 2011. It continues in existence under the Zambia Qualifications Act No. 8 of 2024. The Authority is mandated, among other functions, to develop, oversee, and maintain a National Qualifications Framework; register qualifications and ensure that standards and registered qualifications are internationally comparable; develop, publish, and maintain national occupational standards for occupations in the Republic as well as establish and maintain a database of learning achievements in the Republic.
ZAQA is urgently seeking the services of a suitably qualified, experienced, and self-motivated person to fill the position of:

1) PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER
Overall Responsibilities
To procure goods, services, and works to meet end-user requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:
i) Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
iii) Minimum of 3 years procurement experience
iv) Valid Practicing License from the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
v) Proven ability to use the E-GP System
vi) Ability to write analytical and technical reports
vii) Advanced ability to communicate effectively in English
viii) Qualifications under (i) & (ii) above MUST be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority and verification/evaluation certificates submitted together with the application;
