Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Opportune Time Business Consultants

We are looking to place a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a system to track the progress and impact of our clients project or program by collecting, analyzing, and reporting data, ensuring that initiatives are achieving their intended goals and identifying areas for improvement through regular monitoring and evaluation activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and indicators for projects or programs.
  • Design data collection tools, surveys, and methodologies to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Implement data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations.
  • Analyze data using statistical and qualitative analysis techniques to assess program performance and outcomes.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Monitor project activities, outputs, and outcomes against established targets and benchmarks.
  • Conduct field visits and assessments to verify data quality, monitor progress, and identify challenges.
  • Support project teams in setting up data management systems and databases to store and analyze data.
  • Provide training and capacity building to project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation concepts and tools.
  • Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing sessions to capture best practices and lessons learned from program implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and community partners, to ensure alignment of monitoring and evaluation efforts.
  • Participate in program planning, review, and evaluation meetings to contribute insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, data privacy regulations, and organizational policies in monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools.
  • Support organizational learning and continuous improvement efforts through feedback mechanisms and reflective practices

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Administration, M&E or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and
  • production of reports
  • Proven ICT skills in database software
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
  • Strong training & facilitation skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Membership of a relevant professional board is a must

Office Hours
Your regular working hours are from 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs on weekdays
