Job Title: Human Resource and Administration Officer

Job Summary
The Human Resource and Administration Officer will play a key role in ensuring efficient HR and administrative functions within the organization. The role involves implementing HR policies, managing recruitment, handling employee relations, and overseeing day-to-day administrative tasks to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Functions:
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
Support performance management processes, including employee appraisals and training needs assessments.
Handle employee relations, addressing concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Monitor employee attendance, leave management, and payroll processing support.
Organize training and capacity-building programs to enhance staff development.
Ensure compliance with local labour laws and HR best practices.
Administration Functions:
Oversee office management functions, including procurement of office supplies and equipment.
Manage and maintain organizational records, contracts, and legal documentation.
Coordinate travel and logistics arrangements for employees and external stakeholders.
Ensure a safe and conducive working environment by managing office maintenance and security.
Support the development and implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources and administration roles (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
Experience working in the environmental, non-profit, or private sector is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is required.
