We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAGE or SAP, and a solid background in financial reconciliations, asset management and payments processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank and supplier reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain the asset register, ensuring proper accounting and periodic verification of assets.
- Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
- Prepare payment schedules and process online bank postings in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide input into process improvements and financial system enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full professional qualification in CIMA, ACCA, or CA Zambia (ZICA membership is mandatory).
- 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a service industry.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAGE, SAP, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial operations, including reconciliations, payments, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
